About

“The real Oxford consists of a close corporation of untidy, jolly, lazy, good-for-nothing old men, who have been electing their own successors ever since the world began and who intend to go on doing it.” –C.S. Lewis

This is a blog about belonging, and not belonging, to two countries at once. It is mainly about Oxford, except for the bits where it isn’t. It began as my attempt to demonstrate to the people back home (to whom the notion of going to Oxford was not less alien than the idea of studying in Narnia) just how I proposed to spend my undergraduate years, and has evolved since then into something more comprehensive, and also less so–about daily life, umbrellas, singing, working, friends, trains, holidays, legends who stand up in front of you and teach you, and so on. By now it is nearly the way I like it.

Shall we dance?
